Many times I have been asked by my patients to lengthen their worn down two upper front teeth. It is not always a simple task as I have to consider the whole mouth in its function, its TMJ health, the fact that the posterior teeth act as protectors of anterior (and vice-versa). Then there are color, hue, intensity considerations so they look realistic. Presently, we have different porcelains depending on tooth position, patient para-functional habits (brushing and clenching) and patient desires. Mush planning and coordination with the dental lab specialist is essential. Many times several teeth are involved in the design plan.
