Whitening

Dental whitening is the effective cleaning of the dentin under the enamel using a special formulation of hydrogen peroxide in a neutral pH gel placed in custom soft trays.  This can be done over a series of 3 days or if immediacy is important the Zoom In-Office System can be utilized.  Usually whitening is done at least 6 weeks prior to preparation for porcelain veneers or crowns in order to allow for stabilization of the "whiteness".
